⚡ SECTION 1: WELCOME TO THE PLAYBOOK

Welcome to the team. You are here because you care about men, about fathers, and about the legacy of families in our community. This Playbook isn't just a manual; it's a toolkit for transformation.

▫️ Letter from the Men’s Program Director

With every dad who walks through our door, we have an opportunity to make an impact that will last for generations. The care and compassion we show him he then can take in and in turn offer that same care, compassion, and hope to his partner and his children. The hope of our men's program is to turn these men into great fathers who know their Heavenly Father.

As you make use of this resource, I hope that it will serve towards that end. Our hope is that you would be able to use this playbook and contribute to it for the sake of our ministry readiness. You may have heard of Dr. Dad or the Waiting Room Rescue, but this will be the toolkit you can pull out in preparation for any one of those initiatives. As we're coming alongside dads in the waiting room, as we're serving dads in a parenting class or via mentorship, our heart is ultimately to connect them with the heart of fatherhood and to their Heavenly Father who they should seek to model and love.

This particular guide will serve as our directive for Quarter One of 2026 as we participate in the Pacific Northwest Fatherhood Project. So over the next few months, feel free to make use of this resource, contribute to its development, suggest changes and amendments, or even mark up your own copy with things you might find helpful as you're facilitating with dads.

Thank you for the investment that you're making in the men in this community. I hope that this resource goes far in helping you make a difference in the lives of the dads you serve.

⚡ SECTION 2: MISSION & CONTEXT

▫️ Our Mission

Offering hope by providing compassionate, practical care, accurate information, biblical truth, and life-affirming resources for pregnancy, sexual health & integrity and abortion recovery.

▫️ The Men's Program Context

This Playbook operates within the specific partnership of Care Net National and the Pacific Northwest Fatherhood Project. While we offer a broad range of medical and support services as an organization, our specific mandate in the Men's Program is to engage fathers directly.

Our mission as an organization is broad, but the Men's Program narrows that scope to focus specifically on fathers. We provide fatherhood support, options consultations, parenting classes, and relationship education—but all of these services are delivered through just three key touch points:

  1. One-on-one during pregnancy tests and ultrasound options consultations: A triage appointment (approximately 20 minutes maximum) that meets dads in high-stakes moments. The goal is to convert him from a "guest" to a "client" with his own support track by building relationship, understanding his support system, and clarifying his intentions.
